Birthday Breakfast

Today I took a friend out for breakfast. She had taken me out for my birthday and I gladly took her out. Lost so many of people I could spend time with and talk lately. Death and moving makes it hard to have old friends.

Cold and Gray

It could be how you might describe me but I meant the weather. It has gotten to me and I am wondering what I am going to do when it gets 40 or 50 degrees colder and it will. We were spoiled by Indian Summer and now we are cold. These temps will feel warm in April or May but they sure don't feel that way today.

The Warmth And Color

Our area is being blessed with both. I sat out on my porch today and it was great. I wish everyone could enjoy it.

Indian Summer

It is here. We already had a killer frost and now we are having temperatures that we would have in July or August. Believe me I am not complaining,it is wonderful to have great temps and be able to see the fall colors. Now is the time we have to watch out for deers in the road.

Rainy Days Not Bad

Today was dark rainy day and it was great for me. I slept in and woke up feeling great. I got so much done. I got my haircut,got supplies,Went to bread store and stocked up,went to bank and checked on something plus dropped off a record of my B/P to my doctor's office. Good fortune doc wasn't in. I got back home shortly after noon. Heard a few people complaining about the bad day but I can't feel that way. The good Lord gave me a blessed day.

Color Show Has Started

God's color show is started. The trees are changing. It gets so beautiful around here. There are places that you can go to and see the trees for a mile or more. The ski jump in Iron Mountain Michigan is a place where you can see for miles.

Life's Little Problem Living In The Country.

Had problem yesterday with water leaving bathtub after a shower. Thought it was from a problem with septic system. Had to have it checked and pumped out. It wasn't the problem it is the pipes. Oh well,country living with no sewer systems can be a problem but I like living in the "boonies".

Good Day Again Plus A Year Older

Well, my quiet birthday is almost over. I had one neighbor call. I don't celebrate birthdays since to me it is just another day. I did find out I had a birthday twin and I wished her a blessed day.

Great Day

Had no plans then found out I needed to go up and pick up meds that I was out of. Took my laundry along and did it. Pick up my meds and met an old friend for lunch. While at lunch we were able to see part of another old friend's family. Then I went and bought groceries. A fairly mundane, but wonderful day.

New Hook-ups

All the changes made and working fine. Plus I will be saving money.

Changes

Tomorrow I am changing a few things. My phone (#stays same),TV supplier & internet. Hope it all goes well.

Dosages

All the increases were doctor ordered and I had gone to the doctor at Wednesday's appointment.
I know enough NOT to self medicate. That goes against all the training that I have had.

Why Won't They Work?

A week ago I was taking 30mg. a day of a med. Wednesday it went up to 75mg a day and now it is up to 150mg a day. If 30 didn't work and 75 didn't work why should I feel that 150 will? Sometimes I get discouraged.

Weather

Today we had storms both in morning and afternoon. One person was killed;trees down, inch and a half size hail and houses damaged. Power failed and places were closed. My culvert is almost completely uncovered. My sister is dealing with temperatures in the hundreds and no rain.

Power Failure

Last night we had a power failure of 100 minutes. When power was back on everything came back except my computer. Needless to say I was devastated. I tried last night and this morning to turn on computer. No Luck. When an old friend came to my house and to go out for lunch heard she asked if I had it plug into a power strip. Maybe that needed to be checked. When she left I went and turn power strip off for a few seconds and when I turned it back on computer was fine. Amazed how much I like my computer. I called my friend and thanked her.

Sadness Abounds

This world has run amok. So much sadness,so many problems, so many people arguing about this and that then Norway comes and shows that it isn't really important who votes what and who gets what. WHEN WILL WE GET IT? When will we put people and their needs first not I can not lose this argument. I"m right they are wrong.

Great Day

It was a great day today. Spent time with family at one sons wedding. Two of my sons came up with their wives and my oldest great grand daughter. I haven't had a day like today for a long time. Four more of my great grand children were in the wedding. What a blessed day.

The Fourth Of July

A great day to celebrate a great country. I am American and proud of it. Is my country perfection no; but as an American I have the right and am free to say that. Our government is made up of people and so there can be errors made. But let there be no mistake : United States of America is a great country.

Hi Friends

Haven't posted in a long time sorry. My life just went on. My plants that bloom early are just about gone. My peony plants bloomed so beautiful this year. I only had one all white iris this year. My great grand daughter took the top of one of my oriental lilies. Waiting for the day lilies to bloom. I have 3 tomato plants,2 roses,and 2 flower boxes on my porch.
My son is getting married again in a couple of weeks. Excitement for brief time. My life is very dull and days go by that I speak to no one. I read blogs and facebook but don't always comment.

Still Here

Not much to post. Just trying to get my health squared away. Not doing much or having any visitors. Did see an old friend of over 20 years for lunch last week. I guess I should be thankful that my life is dull and I don't ever have to worry about not getting the chores of the day done.
