White Is The Color

Everything is covered with a few inches of white snow. Freezing rain followed by snow has the trees and everything else covered. It is beautiful to see but not safe to leave house. Schools closed, roads not plowed. I can see the beauty but I feel sorry for the people that have to go out in this.

We've had very little snow this winter, we might get some tomorrow.

Temperatures dropped around here, and now the rain starts. It will be a very uncomfortable night outside, even dangerous. I am glad that my heating works and there is a very nice hot water bottle for the night.

Winter is what it is and I have to get used to it. Being in a position to just sit and look outside at it is wonderful.

Stay in and enjoy the view with hot chocolate! By the way, who is Betty from Texas?

Works, fine!

BTW I received another "invitation" to share your pictures on - I forgot the name. I did not follow and think it is the same kind of sham it was some months ago.

We face a phase of cold, some Siberian cold air is rushing in and the temps dropped significantly, we expect arounf - 12° at daytime and up to -18° through the nights for the coming week, but it's dry. A stiff Eastern wind is blowing tonight - thank God for hot water bottles. The appartement below me is empty (I'm sad that they moved, he was a opera singer, really, looking like Genghis Khan! They had a lovely little boy.), so not heated and damn I feel it!
I hope you have a warm house and cabin fever is far away.
