Cancer

Well another friend has cancer. Am I the only one that thinks there is alot more around now? Is it because there are more tests or is it because we are living longer. I know that we all must take care of ourselves and our families.

Joyce I am so sorry to hear that. But your friend will fight it! I have an aunt that had a breast removed and has been cancer free for about 7 or 8 years now and a great aunt that had a lung removed. While life is a little tougher, she is free of cancer!

I agree with you. It seems to be everywhere. Sometimes I think it's like a cold - people just 'catch' it. If it is that there are more tests out there, then we should be thankful. Otherwise it could just be that people wouldn't even know about it.

I'll keep your friend in my thoughts!

John told me about this. It sounds like she'll be able to get through it okay. =)

She goes down Thursday to find out how much chemo she needs. On tuesday I found out that another girl I worked with had a double mastectomy recently isn't healed yet or started chemo.

I think there is an abundance of cancer because we're living longer and taking care of ourselves less... with bad eating habits, unhealthy lifestyles, etc. It's still hard to hear of it happening to so many, though :-S
