Banned from Church?

I don't know all the facts but some church banned a 13 year old child with autism from church. How does that set with Matthew19:14? Who will it be next? I worked with autistic adults and I don't understand this banning. Does anyone have the full story of this case I would really like to know.

I saw that on the news also...they banned him because he was disrupting the services...so big deal...if they were worshiping in the right spirit...they would have just taken it in stride and gone on with the service...
our church has has a special section for the "exceptional" class for years...they are all the way from children right on up to adults...and on occasion one of them speaks out or makes a disturbance... but we just ignore the noise and continue the service...because they are there to worship just like the rest of us...
that church should take another look at their purpose...

Mimi, You are so right. I have seen a few people in church that I call "ellitest". They have such an air about them I don't know how they can worship.
Working in a group home has lowered my tolerance for the "normal" and I have more respect for the people with problems.

Ugh! What next!?! Amen, Momma and Joyce -- you both said a whole lot of truth!

I totally agree with Mimi, if they were worshipping in the right spirit then it wouldn't have mattered one jot.

Hopefully this won't cloud the child's view of Jesus.
