General Douglas MacArthur

He has been on my mind today. I remember sitting in a class room in my senior year in high school and listening to his speech to congress after he was called back from the war. He said "Old soldiers never die. They just fade away". I won't ever forget that line. Now as I turned 76 today I wonder when I will fade away.
I know life expectancy has increased but I still feel old. I can't believe that I am this age.

Happy Birthday. We live on and rise again in the voices of our children. (actually lyrics from a song by the Rankin Family). You live on in the lives and hearts of your children and grand children. Have a great day.

My heartfelt congratulations to your birthday Joyce.
I hardly can believe that I turned fortysix. I think the Stones made a song "Never fade away" ...
Be well!
