Quiet time

This week was quiet after monday. On saturday it was homecoming for the high school in town. I went to the parade in the morning. Our small town did have a good parade. The kids had enough candy and beads thrown from the floats. I'm not sure which one threw the pennies. It was either bank or credit union. There was some decorations in town with toilet paper.
That is a fun thing the kids do.
I didn't get ride to church today . In the afternoon I watched a historical football game. Brett Farve became the first one to throw for 422 touchdowns.
Hope you all have a blessed week.

Hello. This week is not particularly blessed, rather mixed. Some drama, that cost time and nerves. I am right behind my schedule for the old man, hopefully I will reach all materials I need tomorrow - I promised to have everything ready tomorrow afternoon. He saied he'd get photographs to illustrate the text, around 20, so we should look where they can be put into the manuscript.
Already Thursday's over - time is fast these days.
I hope you feel good, no pain in face or feed.
By the way - I really never understood this game with "touch-down" and all - very strange rules for a brawl.

Thank you for your kind comment. Yes, it's done. I said goodbye. He is the first out of a band of friends who died. It is a strange group of people.
Today I followed the appropriate forms and I felt this to be helpful. I did the right thing, i followed the role. Rituals help.
Death came a step closer.

How's it going with you? Are you all right? Still all quiet on the western front? If you do not like me asking say it.

Joyce the parade sounds like it was much fun and I am so glad you got to go and enjoy it.

All or most all of my children got together over the past Monday through Wednesday at noon. It was a wonderful time. We had so much fun being together but missing those who were not able to be with us. God is good to us. connie from Texas

'Cos I'm not American what is 'homecoming'? I've always wondered when I'd heard that phrase on TV shows and films, especially when they've referred to the 'homecoming queen'.

Sounds like you had a great weekend.

Hugs.

Sarah,
Homecoming is a celebration of school spirit for the whole area. Businesses have floats, the different classes have floats in competition. The fire department, the ambulance(Rescue Squad)are in parade with the sirens blaring. The floats and classes throw candy or pennies to the children.
In the afternoon is the football game. Many alumni come for the parade and game.
At night is the dance, with one boy as king&one girlas queen. There are couples from each grade
and even little king and queen. The king and queen lead the grand march. It is a fun time for the young people.
